The Company:
This is a Long-established market leader within the forest products industry in the UK. A business priding themselves on their strong product knowledge, understanding of the industry and long-term established partnerships that enable them too consistently deliver quality products to their customers in a continuous supply.
This is an innovative, customer focused company that imports, distributes and processes sustainable timber and timber products to the construction and joinery markets.
The Role:
An external sales manager is required to generate sales of the company's specialist engineered timber products including i-joists, LVL, Glulam, tru-stud and LSL alongside the cross-selling of the company's traditional timber and panel products.
This is a hands-on sales role, working alongside a large team of Regional Sales Managers and reporting into the Managing Director, this is a pivotal role, focusing on generating new business for the company's engineered products, selling predominantly into roof truss / floor joist and timber frame manufacturers as well as other volume end users and merchants.
Whilst also being responsible for managing exisiting business accounts, the focus will be heavily on the generation of new business.
About you:
- Well located to cover both London and the Midlands
- Strong track record of new business development
- Structural Timber or Timber Engineering sales background
- Strong technicall understanding of timber products
- Highly consultative style to sales
- Strong communicator and relationship builder
- Effective teamworker
