We are recruiting a Scheduler who will work as part of an Alliance with South West Water, which is known as Network Services Alliance and the Logistics Team to effectively plan the daily work of the Alliance. The South West Water contract is a busy hub of activity and the Scheduler will need to consider many elements including customer commitments, work priority, efficiency, skills and streetworks noticing for both reactive and planned works.

The key responsibilities this dynamic role consists of:
  • Day to day planning for all planned and reactive jobs
  • Jeopardy Management to avoid fines and customer complaints
  • Communication with both internal and external customers regarding planned and ongoing work.
  • Ensuring all required information is provided to the operational teams to complete the task planned.
  • Ensure all business processes are followed with recording all necessary information on the system in a timely manner.
  • Work with other planners / planning managers in the NSA, to best utilise available resource.
  • Monitor all reports to maintain performance levels
  • Ensure operational activities comply with requirements of New Roads, Streetworks Act and Traffic Management Act.
  • Ensure the quality of information is monitored and any issues are highlighted to the planning manager
  • When required, complete the duties of the NSA Admin Assistant.

    Essential Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience of planning/scheduling for Utilities contracts.
  • Able to manage conflicting priorities whilst under pressure, with strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to demonstrate resilience, working in a very reactive and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to use own initiative, as well as working as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to use, understand and adapt to a variety of IT systems.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
