Kier Utilities are looking for a proactive Manager who will provide day to day leadership and guidance to a diverse planning/Scheduling team. You will be crucial in driving team performance and ensuring that the team delivers against both client and internal KPI's.
Experience within the water industry would be beneficial however full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day to day leadership and supervision of a dynamic planning team who schedule the repair and maintenance water work in Bristol. This involves the team liaising with the teams out in the field and planning installations and repairs.
- Direct line management of 3 Team Leaders and c.15-20 indirect reports including appraisals, career development, objective setting and recruitment. This is a hands on, people management role
- You will be expected to effectively support and lead your Team Leaders to ensure:
- An accurate and productive schedule of work is produced for all field teams
- Compliance with all aspects of the New Roads and Streetworks Act (training on this will be provided)
- Effective liaison with Client, Councils and Key Stakeholders to progress challenging works and build effective relationships
- Delivery of relevant contract KPIs including levels of service and ensuring data quality
- Ensuring your team maintain a professional standard of behaviour and performance in a challenging working environment
Individual
- Good written, verbal and on the phone communication skills
- A proven track record of managing a diverse team in a challenging working environment
- A self-motivated individual who is able to proactively seek solutions to team queries
- Willing, helpful, enthusiastic and a team player
- Water experience would be a bonus but all training will be provided.
