SCL Senior Shift Engineer

I am looking for an SCL Engineer to work on the Northern Line Extension Project that is currently being undertaken.

The Role:

This role will obviously mean shift work, and will be run on a 12 days on 6 days off pattern with 12 hour Shifts. It will be possible for the shift patterns to be negotiated with other engineers doing the supervision.

You will be required to:

chair dayshift SRG including the RES meeting

Prepare RESS for tunnel shift manager and Project Managers representative.

Ensure adequate monitoring and survey control of the works and reviews and assesses monitoring data.

Confirm compliance with and applicability of RESS

Undertake face logging and logging of probe drilling (Only SCL).

Carry out inspections and signs off check sheets as required by ITPs and this procedure.

Carry out inspections of the soundness of the excavation face and fitness of it to accept lining.

Produce Inspector Daily Report, Daily Shift Report.

Call for a SRG Meeting to assess the change of the tunnel advance conditions.

Raise NCRs, RFIs and FCDs regarding materials issues

You (the candidate):

You will require:

* A good working knowledge of English, both written and verbal, and be able to report at management level.
* Experience of providing technical and engineering support at site on previous tunnelling contracts, including SCL Primary Lining, Squareworks and Timber Head Mining.
* A CSCS Card, ICI LU, Tunnel Safety
