We are Kier, one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure services, working on projects such as Hinkley Point and Mogden Sewage Treatment Works.
We are now recruiting for a Section Engineer to join our Infrastructure Major Projects team in Bridgwater to manage the technical compliance of the project to the design specification, to meet the required quality, time, and safety standards of the project (section).
Key Responsibilities
In this exciting Section Engineer role, you'll manage the preparation of as-built drawings and manage systems to enable the progress of work to be reviewed. You'll lead on engineering support to resolve technical issues and be responsible for setting out works. You'll manage the recording and testing of workmanship and materials and regularly check the setting out points, ensuring all setting out works are delivered to site with the required certification.
What do we need from you?
A proactive, problem solver with good commercial and contractual awareness. You'll have previous experience in a similar role covering surfacing, earthworks, groundworks, drainage and hold a valid UK driving license. You'll be qualified to degree standard or equivalent and strong people/project management skills.
