We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our Hinkley Point C team based in Bridgwater, Somerset. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As a Section Engineer, you'll be working within the Hinkley Point C team, supporting with the technical compliance of the project to the design specification, to meet the required quality, time, and safety standards of the project (section).

Your day to day will include:

  • You'll manage the preparation of as-built drawings and manage systems to enable the progress of work to be reviewed.
  • You'll lead on engineering support to resolve technical issues and be responsible for setting out works.
  • You'll manage the recording and testing of workmanship and materials and regularly check the setting out points, ensuring all setting out works are delivered to site with the required certification.

What do we need from you?

This role of Section Engineer is great for you if:

  • You have a proactive approach, a problem solver with good commercial and contractual awareness.
  • You'll have previous experience in a similar role covering surfacing, earthworks, groundworks, drainage and hold a valid UK driving license.
  • You'll be qualified to degree standard or equivalent and strong people/project management skills.
