We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our Sellafield team, based in Seascale, Cumbria. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As a Section Engineer you'll be working within the Sellafield team to manage the technical compliance of the project to the design specification, to meet the required quality, time and safety standards of the project (section).

Your day to day will include:

  • You'll assist in managing systems to enable the progress of work to be planned and executed.
  • You'll provide engineering support to resolve technical issues and be responsible for production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements as well as ensuring that the works are correctly set out.
  • You'll assist in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials and regularly check the setting out points.
  • You will ensure that all setting out works are delivered to site with the required certification and that your works are delivered safely, on time and to the standards required by the specification.
  • You will have to manage a small number of individuals including junior and setting out engineers.
Who are we looking for?

This role of Section Engineer is great for you if:

  • You are a proactive, problem solver with good commercial and contractual awareness.
  • You'll have previous experience in a similar role covering structural steelwork, cladding and reinforced concrete and hold a valid UK driving license.
  • You'll be qualified to degree standard or equivalent and strong people/project management skills.
