We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our regional civils team based in Doxey, Staffordshire. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As a Section Engineer, you'll be working within the Regional Civils team, supporting with the technical compliance of the project to the design specification of allocated work scope safely, to schedule dates, within budget allowances, and to the required quality

Your day to day will include:

  • You'll ensure construction records are completed including preparation of 'as-built' drawings and schedules and ensure recording and testing of workmanship and materials i.e. drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork etc.
  • You'll ensure records are kept enabling the progress of work to be reviewed and provide engineering support to technical problems.
  • You'll also regularly check setting out points and benchmarks, setting out instruments and measuring equipment are being maintained in accordance with test and inspection plans.
What do we need from you?

This role of Section Engineer is great for you if:

  • You'll hold a relevant management qualification, or equivalent NVQ Level 3/HNC or Degree
  • You'll have knowledge and experience of the main management systems and processes used within a large multidisciplinary project.
  • You'll have strong attention to detail and good organisation skills and an ability to liaise in a professional manner with Client, Client representatives and the general public.
