I am currently looking for the right person to fill a QS jobs in South West London. The project is a joint venture between three of the leading tier 1 civil engineering companies and is one of the largest and most exciting projects currently being undertaken with a budget of £4bn.
Individually the companies pride themselves on taking on complex and technically challenging projects and look to employ candidates that fit this mind-set, and they have brought this ethos with them into this joint venture.
Once in the role you will be expected to help the senior QS with Subby management and monthly claims and payments. You will also be responsible for your own section of works; with this in mind a relatively high level of autonomy is essential. On top of this you will need to:
- Assist with preparation of periodic progress valuations and claims for work completed
- Produce monthly forecasts, and contract budget reports
- Identify and provide appropriate, timely information to support change control process
- Maintain registers of variations, delay, extension times and claims
