We are working with a fantastic college in Guernsey who are looking for a SEN Teacher for an immediate start for a Specialist SEN School that caters for Students with complex educational needs. The school are offering a day rate plus holiday pay and flights out there and return flights and accommodation for the duration of contract are paid for and provided.
Role responsibilities
As a SEN teacher, you will be required to work primarily with a student with complex needs. The role requires: Experience of attachment difficulties Experience of ASD Experience of trauma Experience of SEMH or SEBD Experience of challenging behaviour Training in Team Teach (physical intervention and breakaway)
The person & qualifications
Must have experience across Primary and Secondary level as an SEN Teacher
Hold a relevant teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLLS, CTLLS or PTLLS)
Have experience as an SEN Teacher and experience of working with Autistic students
Hold a level 3 qualification
An understanding of teaching and learning strategies
Evidence of recent continuing professional development
High level of inter-personal and communication skills
Effective organisational, time management and administrative skills
Proven ability to work on own initiative.
