An incredible educational provider is on the lookout for a SEND Functional Skills Tutor on a temporary basis (could go permanent). An immediate start is required.
Hourly rate: Negotiable
Job Purpose: Working as part of the curriculum team to ensure high standards of education, training and care within its own set of ideals and principles as well as meeting the expectations and guidelines of the placing authorities and inspectorates.
Main Duties:
ยท To plan, prepare, deliver and assess functional skills sessions for groups and individuals with learning disabilities.
Requirements:
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, PTLLS or equivalent)
- A good understanding of relevant issues for learners with learning difficulties and disabilities.
- Experience in working with learners with learning difficulties and disabilities.
- Awareness of Health & Safety and safeguarding needs of learners.
- Ability to work effectively with SEND students, including emotional and behavioural difficulties and challenging behaviour.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent planning skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Good IT skills.
