Due to continued success in the housing market this Top 10 house builder is seeking a Senior Architectural Technician to join its team in Ipswich.

This Developer is now looking for an Architectural Technician to join its Suffolk office.

The company is one of the leading developers of homes in the UK with over 15,000 homes produced every year. With a number of confirmed new site developments they are recruiting for a Senior Architectural Technician to join its team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Working on site layouts and design drawing packages for building and planning
  • Working on technical drawings of standard house types
  • Using AutoCAD on a daily basis
  • Liaise with site and NHBC to resolve any technical issues
  • Communicating with internal and external teams
  • liaising with local authorities
  • Oversee building regulations technical requirements for developments from appraisal to completion.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Qualified in HNC/HND/BSc level or equivalent
  • Skilled in the use of AutoCAD
  • Technical ability
  • Experience of production of working drawing packages
  • Up to date experience and knowledge of UK building regulations
  • Experience of preparing house planning/working drawings would be essential.
