We are Kier, one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure services, working on projects such as Hinkley Point and Mogden Sewage Treatment Works.

We are now recruiting for a Senior Bid Manager to join our Kier Infrastructure Major Projects team in Waterbeach to manage our large complex civil engineer tenders. Responsible for the end-to-end process of our civil engineering tenders, you will be an integral part of the team as you lead, motivate and manage others, ensuring the team you lead is motivated and we are in the best position possible to win profitable work.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Bid Manager will be in charge of independently leading our large civil engineering tenders with a network of management support around them. In this exciting role you'll be accountable for pre-qualification work, preparation of win strategies and management of tender commercial, design, planning and estimating, while safeguarding your methods to ensure commercial, programme and pricing approaches are aligned and do not expose Kier to undue risk. As Senior Bid Manager you will be responsible for client relationships, ensuring deadlines are met and guaranteeing all bids are of high-quality in addition to submitting them on time to the client.

What do we need from you?
We are looking for a collaborative individual, with previous experience in a Bid Manager or Senior Bid Manager role, who can engage and lead a team to deliver agreed outputs. You'll constructively challenge to ensure excellence in all bid material and deliver results to prescribed deadlines. Communication is key, so we will trust you to build excellent relationships with clients and other key stakeholders. You will need to be clear and realistic in your commitments to clients and focus on keeping your team regularly informed.
