Senior Building Surveyor Job in Sidcup, Kent
Senior Building Surveyor job in Sidcup, Kent for an established and successful multidisciplinary consultancy, joining their growing Building Surveying department and working on mixed refurbishment projects across residential, commercial and education sectors as well as remedial cladding & façade projects. The role offers a salary of between £60,000 - £68,000 dependent on experience + Travel + Flexibility to work remotely.
The consultancy work across a variety of sectors including commercial, education, leisure and housing. They offer an all-encompassing service to their loyal client base including Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Design and Engineering. The 180-strong team works collaboratively across 4 sites and work on projects in London, Kent and Sussex and parts of The South West.
Role & Responsibilities
- Working on refurbishment projects from inception to completion across residential, commercial and education sectors
- Monitor costs, budgets and project timelines
- Advising on solutions to Building Pathology problems
- Undertaking a variety of building surveys to include condition surveys, dilapidation surveys,
DDA surveys and Party Wall surveys
- Writing detailed specifications for construction
- Production of reports
- Use Workbench to monitor project timelines and oversee financials
- Liaising with consultants, contractors and internal project team members
- Using CAD at a basic level
- Client liaison and managing framework agreements
- Business Development Networking
- Assist with the input for PQQs and fee bids
- Assist & mentor junior members of staff.
Required Skills & Experience
- MRICS / MCIOB or working towards
- 5+ Years' experience in Building Surveying
- Refurbishment project experience from inception to completion essential
- Experienced in remedial cladding/facades projects
- Specification and report writing experience.
