We're looking for a Senior CAD Technician to join our Kier Professional Services team to support services across all of Kier. This role is based in Wymondham, Norfolk. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As a Senior CAD Technician you'll be working in our Kier Professional Services team, supporting them in the delivery of a broad range of complex Civil & Structural / MEICA and related services in both Temporary and Permanent Works throughout the Kier business, leading the delivery of some services; providing solutions which are safe and buildable (in both their temporary and permanent states), above all other considerations.

Your day to day will include:

  • Production of intelligent BIM models to support tender schemes and project delivery.
  • Production of 2D CAD drawings to support engineering functions, including Permanent Works design of structures, utilities and infrastructure and Temporary Works design, above and below ground in all materials
  • Tender and bid winning support including outline design schemes, feasibility studies, production and evaluation of concepts; focussed on buildability, efficiency and innovation; enabling cost estimates to be developed
What do we need from you?

This role of Senior CAD Technician is great for you if:

  • You have a valid CSCS card
  • You have five years' relevant post-educational experience
  • You have a full driving licence
  • You are progressing towards membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g. completion of IPD for EngTech MICE or IEng MICE)
