The role

Pharmanovia are expanding their operations in China, as a result of this growth we are looking to appoint a new Senior Channel & Operations Manager to lead channel operations management in China.

This is a newly created role and will be responsible for implementing systems and strategy, the development of distributor and channel partner relationships ensuring new opportunities for growth and expansion in China.

  • Developing and implementing new channel and supply chain strategies to optimize product distribution, inventory management, and cost efficiency
  • Evaluation of channel activities, including product launches, inventory management, and cost optimization
  • Channel planning and e-ordering system setup, SIT (stock in trade) monitored
  • Calculating the raw data with DDI and CSO to define the in/out market sales
  • Managing relationships with key suppliers, distributors, and logistics partners
  • Developing relationships with industry stakeholders, professional associations, regulatory bodies, and opinion leaders
  • Assessing market trends, competition, and customer needs to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion
  • Developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and reports
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements related to pharmaceutical channel management
  • Collaboration with other departments to ensure alignment of supply chain activities

About you:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical channel management
  • A proven track record of success in optimizing supply chain efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • China marketing and communications experience ideally gained in the pharmaceutical or bio-medical industry
  • Knowledge of local promotional regulations
  • Experience of working with Healthcare group purchasing organizations (GPOs)
  • Experience in running successful distribution /channel management
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and legal requirements related to pharmaceutical supply chain
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Outstanding relationship building skills, experience of interacting with external professional and regulatory organisations and key external experts in China
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP
  • Fluency in Business English (verbal and written)
  • Degree in life science, pharmacy and/or business/supply chain or similar is preferred
