Eiffage Kier is a Joint Venture between the two major civil engineering and construction companies, Eiffage and Kier. Eiffage Kier is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high-speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. Our scope of the works includes 17 viaducts, 5km of green tunnels, 22km of road diversions, 75 overbridges and 24 million cubic metres of excavation. You'll have previous have experience or the capability to manage c£300M, you'll be responsible for managing / developing the commercial team to successfully deliver the commercial aspects of contracts to meet the projects plan. Working closely with the construction director to maximise commercial opportunities where possible both up and down the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers
- Produce/ compile accurate forecasts/ budget information and produce accurate reports to client, maintaining and improving client relations as well as ensuring full entitlement under the contract is achieved
- Produce monthly Cost Value reports and present to the business senior leadership team/directors
- Drive the development and expansion of the supply chain to support the optimal delivery of current contracts, and provide opportunities and capacity for growth into new contracts.
- Ensure contract commercial deliverables and timescales.
- Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
- Responsible for ensuring works are valued, including any variation thereto, in accordance with the contract and analyses to determine the project True Value.
- Ensure that commercial and administrative systems, budgets and cost control procedures are utilised.
- Experience within a similar role and with similar values
- Experience of identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Excellent communicator (written and verbally with clients, colleagues and the public)
- Good organiser and ability to prioritise
