Senior Contracts Manager, PFI FM
Location: Based out of our Sheffield or Oldham sites, with travel to other offices and sites across Yorkshire & London, with home working available
Business Area: Kier Places - Facilities Management - PFI North contracts, including Oldham Schools, Oldham Library & Sheffield Schools
Contract & hours: Permanent, full time - Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Kier Places are recruiting now for a Senior Contract Manager to join our PFI Facilities Management North teams in Sheffield & Oldham, to manage the delivery of a PFI Soft, Hard & Technical FM solution for our portfolio of prestigious contracts including Oldham Schools & Library, Sheffield Schools, and London Fire Brigade, where we'll look to you to lead the strategy for the region, working in close conjunction with internal, client stakeholders & various subcontractors, progressively developing the operations teams to meet contract growth requirements and client expectations.
We'll look to you to manage compliance standards across the contracts, assisting and supporting the operational management teams as instructed, and providing visibility to the business and client of all operational compliance obligations required. Specific areas of compliance include legal, technical (M&E, Water, Gas, etc), industry best practice, contractual, SLA/KPI, SIA, Quality Assurance, Environmental, and Health & Safety.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Contract Manager with Kier FM, you'll be trusted to be the first point of contact for the PFI portfolio of contracts; oversee the lifecycle management and operational performance; provide leadership and direction to your teams; and ensure processes and procedures comply with SLAs & KPIs performance targets and meet all the contractual requirements.
As a focused Senior Contract Manager, we'll look to you to manage financial performance of the contracts, where you'll set financial budgets, oversee contract variations, review the P&L, and ensure it aligns to our forecast; keep the Operations Manager informed of all potential issues that have implications on finance, performance or health & safety; conduct regular audits, including site documentation, to ensure compliance measures are met; and ensure all operational, contractual, performance, health & safety, compliance and financial management reports are submitted in line with Kier reporting and contract requirements.
Working collaboratively, you'll ensure development of client relationship between all key personnel; ensure excellent working relationships are developed between all departments including Health & Safety, Compliance, Finance, HR and Training; promote & ensure Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental compliance in line with Kier policies and legal requirements across all contracts; and undertake other duties, tasks or reasonable requirements associated with contract, customer management and performance improvement.
What do we need from you?
Is this your opportunity for the taking? To be a Senior Contract Manager with Kier, you should have previous experience of managing multiple contracts in a PFI/PPP sector, including strong understanding of the client, commercial, contractual & compliance requirements in a PFI environment; experience in hard & soft services facilities management environment; and strong working knowledge of hard services regulations & requirements.
To make the most of this role, you'll have the ability to promote best practice by utilising efficient management practices; have excellent communication skills at all stakeholder levels; and have relevant management and facilities management qualifications for hard and soft FM services, including IOSH accreditation.
Due to the nature of this role, you should hold a full driving licence & be willing to travel across the Yorkshire region, as well as to other offices & sites primarily including Basingstoke & London.
