We're looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join our Transportation team based in Penrith. Location: Penrith, remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (We can offer this role as either full time or part time, please specify in your application)
Salary: Up to £48k + 26 days of annual leave + Benefits

Responsibilities

As a Senior Design Engineer working within the Penrith design team, you will be involved in a range of work on National Highways design contracts and some other Kier contracts. Typical design schemes include surfacing renewal, sign and safety fence replacement, depot improvement and maintenance and other network improvement measures.

Your day to day will include:

  • Leading the preparation of scheme designs, design checks, feasibility reports and documentation in accordance with specified briefs and in line with the time and budgetary allocations
  • Contributing and assisting with the programming and resourcing, checking team output, ensuring accuracy for successful delivery of the workload
  • Sharing your knowledge and experience with the early career staff within the team
