We are Kier, one of the UK's leading Construction and Infrastructure service, working on projects such as Hinkley Point C and Mogden Sewage Treatment Works. We are currently recruiting for a Design Manager to join our Infrastructure - Major Projects Team to work on our Oxford Station Project.

Key Responsibilities

In this exciting Design Manager Role you will be the lead for permanent works design management for Oxford Station Phase 2 Works, acting as the integrator between Kier and other Sub-Contract organisations. You will lead the coordination of different packages of the permanent design and liaise with project construction to ensure buildability, programme coordination and quality that meets the railway station project. You will support the implantation and monitoring of Performance Excellence and prepare detailed design briefs to designers/subcontractors. The Design Manager will be responsible for managing the requests for information to the client.

What do we need from you?

A Design Manager with a strong background in Civil Engineering Design and recent experience as part of a management team on civil engineering design project, preferably on a Rail or comparable project. You will have knowledge in BIM processes and experience of design management. We are looking for a Design Manager with excellent attention to detail and a proactive, enthusiastic, collaborative approach who can work as part of a team to deliver the objectives of the department. You will hold the relevant qualifications (degree level or equivalent) and be a Chartered Member of the ICE (or working towards).
