Job Title: Senior Design Manager

Location: Nottingham - flexible/remote working available

Business area: Build Northern & Scotland

Contract: Full time, permanent (Monday to Friday) - able to consider part time working

Overseeing the commercial resources and project teams on the assigned project, using your commercial expertise and wealth of knowledge you will maximise the cashflow and margin as well as assessing, reviewing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks, implanting Kier Group's policies for risk management.


Key responsibilities ?

As part of your role you will manage all aspects of design production, including the technical evaluation during tender phase and production / management of the design programme. You will assist with the production of Scope of Works and works packages, as well as taking ownership for the review of design documentation for contract compliance. As focal point of Kier to the client, you will be the point of contact for commercial, programme and design issues whilst supporting the project teams to deliver contracts within programme and commercial constraints.


What?do?we need from you??

The ideal candidate will have extensive senior experience within the healthcare, education, commercial or MOD industry and ideally P22. We will also need you to be educated to degree level, or equivalent experience, have proven experience in a similar role and be an excellent communicator. You will have a track record in collaborative working with Clients and Consultants and be able to deliver results within a tight deadline. Communication skills are essential to interpret the requirements of the operations staff and provide the link to the design team. Experience in managing information within an electronic document management system is desirable. You should have experience of delivering BIM level 2 projects, including COBie data, LoDM, federating models and model clash detection.
