Responsibilities
As a Senior Design Manager, you'll be working within the Hinkley Point C Team, supporting them in all aspects of civil engineering, RC structures and MEP design work for the delivery of four ancillary buildings in Hinkley Point C. This role will involve working collaboratively with the Kier project teams, our JV partner BAM, Client (NNB), designers employed by the Client, specialist and other subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant third parties.
Your day to day will include:
- Manage all aspects of design production, including the technical evaluation during the duration of the project.
- As a focal point of Kier to the client, you will be the point of contact for commercial, programme and design issues whilst supporting the project team to deliver contracts within programme and commercial constraints.
- Taking ownership for the review of design documentation for contract compliance
What are we looking for?
This role of a Senior Design Manager is great for you if:
- Relevant qualifications - degree level, or equivalent experience
- Strong background in building design and recent experience as part of a management team on projects in a regulated environment.
- Experience in splitting work scope between design packages to ensure full coverage of the design
