Location: This is an agile, national role offering home working along with travel to various sites and offices
Business area: Kier Construction - Clients & Markets
Contract: Permanent, full time.

It's an exciting time to join Kier Construction! We are recruiting for a forward-thinking Senior Design & Technical Manager to join our team and play a leading role in the delivery of our ambitious growth agenda.

Key Responsibilities

A key role within our 'Clients & Markets' team, providing cross discipline design and technical guidance and support to the wider Kier Education and business unit teams, in tendering for and delivering educational projects whether procured by the DfE, Local Authorities or other procuring bodies. Ensuring that our designs are fully compliant, complete and to a high quality fully coordinated and offering best value for money.

Managing the continuing development for our KSchool21 design platform, providing a best practise design solution that is both standardised yet flexible to each project's constraints. Ensuring robust lessons learnt and knowledge sharing from each project and a continual feedback improvement loop, thus ensuring high quality repeatable outcomes for all of our projects.

Reporting directly to our Education Sector Lead and with responsibilities to our Head of Technical, Design and Innovation, collaborating with Kier Education's Cost Planners, Bid Writers and building performance lead and maintaining key relationships with both our in house design business and selected external design consultants.
