Kier has been awarded the first stage of the £50m HS2 Enabling Civil Works - Package 2 (ECW2) programme, which will be awarded in two stages through the government's existing Construction Works and Associated Services framework. The programme includes a range of early works designed to reduce disruption during the main build stage of the project. It includes major highways works, including the survey, design and construction works for a new bridge on the M6; it will also involve associated utility diversions, as well as a range of environmental and other surveys along the 36-mile stretch of route.
Key Responsibilities:
In this exciting role, the Senior Document Controller will work as a collaborative member of the Kier team, facilitating the sharing of knowledge and best practice to the wider Kier team. Maintain responsibility for own performance, continually developing skills, knowledge, and drive improvements within the Document Control scope through leadership standards and behaviours. You'll manage and maintain the Document Management Systems (DMS) on the BIM360 and ProjectWise Platform and implement and maintain document control processes and procedures. Follow established standards on document naming, numbering, revising, and formatting (BS ENO ISO 19650) and track all incoming and outgoing project documentation, including logging in registers and issuing document transmittals. You will be responsible for issuing to the client on their DMS Enterprise Bridge. As a part of this role, Senior Document Controller will work effectively with suppliers, the client, and other internal/external parties to ensure that information is distributed and managed correctly.
What do we need from you?
To be successful in this role, you'll have expertise and understanding of working with Document Management Systems (DMS) / Common Data Environments (CDE) and a good experience of document control. The knowledge of Microsoft Software systems (Office 365, Word, Excel, Power Point), Acrobat editing software, Microsoft Teams, One Drive and Share Point is essential. Understanding Data Protection is also a prerequisite for this role. In addition, you'll be proactive, effective communicator with strong attention to detail and good analytical and problem-solving skills.
