Role and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare budget costs / estimates for cost of work
  • Assist in the Bid Evaluation process including analysing data and identifying areas requiring additional investigation / clarification
  • Respond to clients requests / requirement in an accurate and timely manner
  • Negotiate with contractors to agree quantities based on detailed design.
  • Close out commercial aspects of change orders.
  • Support team leader with cost control, cost reporting and forecasting of electrical scope of work
  • Assist in the reparation and agreement of final accounts, including the handling of any claims to ensure the client gets best value from works undertaken
  • Assist the team in produce cost analysis feedback/lessons learned to the client for future works
  • Work with the team of cost managers in delivery of a robust cost management service to the client

Desired Experience and Education:

  • 7+ years' cost management experience
  • Semi-Conductor and or Pharma project experience preferred
  • Understanding of M&E Systems and strong ability to read services drawings and schematics, particularly electrical
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills (Excel experience advantageous)
  • Qualification in surveying, engineering or trade experience in mechanical or electrical field - preferably Electrical
  • The ideal candidate will be results driven, self-motivated and resourceful with good client and team relationship skills
