Role and Responsibilities:
- Prepare budget costs / estimates for cost of work
- Assist in the Bid Evaluation process including analysing data and identifying areas requiring additional investigation / clarification
- Respond to clients requests / requirement in an accurate and timely manner
- Negotiate with contractors to agree quantities based on detailed design.
- Close out commercial aspects of change orders.
- Support team leader with cost control, cost reporting and forecasting of electrical scope of work
- Assist in the reparation and agreement of final accounts, including the handling of any claims to ensure the client gets best value from works undertaken
- Assist the team in produce cost analysis feedback/lessons learned to the client for future works
- Work with the team of cost managers in delivery of a robust cost management service to the client
Desired Experience and Education:
- 7+ years' cost management experience
- Semi-Conductor and or Pharma project experience preferred
- Understanding of M&E Systems and strong ability to read services drawings and schematics, particularly electrical
- Team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent IT skills (Excel experience advantageous)
- Qualification in surveying, engineering or trade experience in mechanical or electrical field - preferably Electrical
- The ideal candidate will be results driven, self-motivated and resourceful with good client and team relationship skills
