Join McGinley as a Senior Electrical Manager We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Manager to join McGinley on a 12-month contract, working on a hybrid basis from our clients Glasgow office. This is an exciting opportunity to shape electrical and lighting strategy across Scotland's national road network.
The Role
You will:
Provide expert guidance and oversight on all electrical and lighting aspects of scheme development, delivery, and annual investment programmes.
Lead the strategic development of Transport Scotland's approach to lighting, including Central Management Systems and LED renewal.
Be the technical lead on electrical policy, standards, and best practice.
Oversee national energy management for electrical assets - working with suppliers, monitoring financials, and driving efficiency.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Member of a relevant professional body.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status desirable but not essential.
Experience:
Proven track record in delivering electrical and lighting services, ideally in a road or transport infrastructure environment.
Knowledge of public sector electricity supply markets and supply management.
Ability to engage with a broad stakeholder base and influence at senior levels.
Strong contract management experience and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
