A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join our Highways team in Penrith to lead the preparation of scheme designs, design checks, feasibility reports and documentation in accordance with specified briefs and in line with the time and budgetary allocations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Highways Engineer working within the Penrith design team, you will be involved in a range of work for major clients such as National Highways as well as some interesting projects for internal Kier clients. Your responsibilities will include contributing and assisting with the programming and resourcing, checking team output, ensuring accuracy for successful delivery of the workload. There is expected to be a mix of maintenance, small scale improvements and some new build/major projects. You will be expected to help and guide the early career staff within the team. A wide range of experience in work such as pavement renewal, safety fencing and signing would be a benefit.
What do we need from you?
A wide range of experience in Highway renewal and/or design.
Professional qualifications such as Chartership or Incorporated engineer status would be preferred but is not essential
