Senior Engineer Job in the Midlands or South East
This is an opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join one of the UK's largest later living house builders based from either their Midlands office or one of their offices in the South East. The company currently employ over 600 staff across 5 offices and have ambitious growth plans in place for the future.
As the Senior Engineer, you'll be running your own projects and supporting other members in the technical and engineering team with their projects. As part of the in-house technical and engineering team you'll be working on all aspects of highways, drainage and sewer design for the developments across the Midlands and South East.
Role & Responsibilities
- Work with local authorities and utility providers to ensure all approvals required for site start are ready and available at the appropriate time
- Assist the planning department in obtaining planning permissions and S104 and S38 Agreements
- Prepare outline engineering schematics for Land Appraisals
- Liaise with the commercial team on costings
- Manage site investigations
- Ensuring the company fulfils its obligations under CDM and Health & Safety legislation with regards to engineering
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree or similar in Civil Engineering
- Previous experience with volume house building
- Experienced in Highways and Drainage design
- Experienced in using AutoCAD, PDS and Mircodrainage
