We are now recruiting for a Senior Environmental Advisor to join our Highways team in Doxey, Staffordshire. The purpose of the role is to support the Environment and Sustainability Manager on HS2 EWC02 contract to ensure that all environmental requirements and best practice is embedded throughout the design and delivery of works in line with policies and contract requirements. Travel is a requirement of this job to establish relationships and undertake site inspections. Previous experience of working to HS2 environmental requirements is desirable. Within this role, you can enjoy private healthcare, a car or car allowance, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays and even more

Location: Doxey, Staffordshire - remote working available, with some travel to other offices and sites required.

Contract: Permanent, Fulltime

Salary: £Competitive

Responsibilities

As Senior Environmental Advisor, you'll be providing advice and solutions to the design and construction teams on reducing environmental impacts, meeting all environmental requirements.

Your day to day will include:
  • Produce environmental plans and documents; review documents produced by other to provide assurance against environmental requirements
  • Undertake environmental site inspections to ensure environmental compliance; make sure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and environmental incidents reported and investigated
  • Develop environmental guidance and training. Identify and promote environmental opportunities and best practice
