Last but not least you want to be part of a new prestigious project based across various sites for the Defence sector?

This role can be based out of the Manchester or Worksop Offices but will require travel across multiple sites.

What will the role look like?

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate previous experience in delivering management support to construction projects, you will be able to provide environmental support and leadership for projects, serving both the design and project delivery teams.

What will the role look like?

  • Champion the implementation of the business environmental strategy and develop project commitments
  • Assure compliance with the LOR Environmental Management System on the project
  • Provide technical advice and direct help to the project, clients and contractors to assist with the resolution of any significant environmental problems
  • Review and advise on the environmental training required for all project staff
  • Engage with the workforce around environmental issues
  • Ensure innovation and best practices is developed, implemented and communication with regards to environmental issues.
  • Ensure that the project is managed with leanness and waste reduction implemented in all processes and procedures
  • Liaise with the appropriate statutory bodies on behalf of the project

Measure our environmental performance and undertake the audits of the project on a regular basis

  • Promote the reduction of energy use and carbon emissions

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • High level of personal drive and commitment, with effective goal setting ability
  • Be capable of meeting deadlines agreed and focus on prioritising activities
  • Able to take strategic views of the environmental requirements and agree and implement resultant plans.
  • Positive approach to the challenges of change, help others to become receptive and responsive to change
  • Be technically familiar with an extensive range of environmental processes and products
  • Logical, well organised with the ability to prioritise
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to build and maintain good working relationships
  • Ensures compliance with the Environmental Management System (EMS)

Qualifications

  • Lead Environmental Auditor Role
  • Membership of IEMA, IES or IEEM
  • Relevant degree in BSc
  • CEEQUAL or BREEAM qualification
