Responsibilities
As a Senior Environmental Manager you'll be working within the Infrastructure Major Projects and Rail teams providing oversight of delivery of the Kier Environmental Management system (EMS) across the Infrastructure Business to achieve high quality environmental management and sustainability performance across all our projects in the UK
Ensure the EMS remains compliant with all environmental legislation and supports delivery of good practice, improved sustainability outcomes and quality reporting data in line with Kier Group Sustainability Framework requirements
Support delivery of continual improvement in environmental performance including delivery of actions identified in the Infrastructure Sustainability Plan.
- Engage with client and stakeholder Environmental Staff to ensure compliance with CEEQUAL requirements at project and programme level.
- Provide advice and guidance to pre-construction and delivery teams to support the identification of environmental risks and opportunities
This role of Senior Environmental Manager is great for you if:
- Experienced construction professional with management experience
- Professional membership of environmental organisation (SocEnv, IEMA, CIWEM, CIWM, CIEEM)
- Significant experience in a similar or supporting post
- Detailed knowledge of ISO 14001 and experience in auditing
- Detailed understanding of environmental legislation
