Contract & hours: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Kier Places are recruiting for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our passionate bid team. With our diverse portfolio of contracts, we are looking for a Senior Estimator who has a Facilities Management bias and with a strong commercial track record of success. The role encompasses the pricing for the statutory, repairs and projects side of the Kier Places FM portfolio, focussing on long-term, multi-million-pound contracts.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Estimator with this team in Kier, you'll be focused on advising, preparing & winning work through the existing framework and two stage tenders for the business as well as competently compiling cost plans - this will require you to manage robust and long-term relationships with clients and internal teams in line with the general strategy; as well as assist in managing the production of tender documents and attending pre-tender and post tender interviews.
This role will be focused on pricing and winning new tenders and existing framework opportunities for the business. You will be responsible for all elements of the pricing for bids, from modelling the costs and assessing the margins, through to completing bid pricing documents and client presentations. This will require you to manage robust and long-term relationships with subcontractors and internal teams.
What do we need from you?
To be a Senior Estimator with Kier Facilities Management, you'll be degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying or Construction related field; have good all-round, technical construction knowledge; have experience in a Main Contractor / Tier 1 Contractor company; Full knowledge of SFG20 and FM pricing methodologies; Government FM works bidding (E.g. CCS framework is essential) and local authority Bidding
