Position: Senior Estimator Salary: £50,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance

This role allows hybrid working

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Estimator - Fit Out and Refurbishment, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for major refurbishment and fit-out projects ranging from £250,000 to £2 million.
  • Bid Analysis: Evaluate and analyze tender documents, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive and detailed cost proposals.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and opportunities associated with project estimates, providing insightful recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance project profitability.
  • Supplier and Subcontractor Negotiation: Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms, fostering strong and lasting relationships.
  • Budget Management: Work closely with project managers to monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met and deviations are promptly addressed.
  • Value Engineering: Explore cost-saving alternatives and value engineering solutions without compromising project quality, seeking innovative ways to enhance project efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on refurbishment and fit-out projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction costs, materials, and methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
