Senior Financial Controller - Manufacturing Industry

An opportunity for a capable Financial Controller to join a leading UK-based manufacturer of specialist industrial lubricants. The business exports to over 90 countries worldwide and has offices in Manchester, Dubai, Mumbai, São Paulo and Shanghai. They were Established in 1988 the company is headquartered in Irlam, Manchester, United Kingdom where it has a fully integrated lubricant manufacturing facility including state-of-the-art laboratories.

Reporting to the Managing Director you key responsibility will be reporting to the Board and Business; driving the financial strategy of the business; management of budgets, cash and capital; developing and managing financial controls and processes as well as management of Finance team.?????

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reporting and presenting to the Board and the wider business on all financial matters.
  • Responsible for the Annual Budgets, ensuring variances to budget are reviewed and actioned as required, interfacing with all departments
  • Ensuring completion of statutory accounts, tax returns and payments.
  • Overall responsibility for overseas subsidiaries' results and submissions.
  • Work with all managers to ensure budgets are maintained and controlled.
  • Management of cash and working capital across the business (capital expenditure, stock, debtors and creditors).
  • Development and implementation of appropriate financial processes and controls
  • Manage the Finance Department ensuring appropriate controls and procedures are in place;
  • Line Manager to Finance team and Company Buyer
  • Abide by all Health and Safety procedures and Company operating procedures in day to day activities
  • Participate in training sessions as required

What we are looking for:

  • A Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • 5 years PQE.
  • Group accounts consolidation experience.
  • Familiar with international accounting and overseas subsidiaries.
  • A strong leader, capable of managing and motivating a team.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing.
  • Able to commute to Irlam, there is a requirement to be at the Irlam office for most of the working week.
