A great opportunity for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Design team in Cambridge. We design and maintain geotechnical assets on the road network. The role involves extensive fieldwork, so you will need to be able to work outdoors for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Engineer this is a leading role in a small team. You will be providing a guiding role in producing geotechnical appraisals, designs, reports, and specifications. Works may include ground investigations; repair works or new construction.

You will be working directly with clients and project managers to develop scheme briefs and budgets. You'll also be supporting the client's geotechnical advisors and lead the inspection of the earthworks asset. You will be expected to support the development of junior colleagues within the geotechnical team.

What do we need from you?

Minimum of BEng Civil Engineering or BSc Geology / Earth Science or related subjects. Experience in the following: application of the Design Manual for Roads & Bridges and the Specification for Highways Works and experience of ground investigation process; AutoCAD and / or HoleBase (or other geotechnical databases); design of slope & retaining walls, foundations, road pavement and reinforced earth design; rock slope management and a full UK driving licence.
