A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Highways Engineer to lead the preparation of scheme designs, design checks, feasibility reports and documentation in accordance with specified briefs and in line with the time and budgetary allocations. To contribute and assist with the scheme programming and resourcing, checking team output and ensuring accuracy and assist in the overall delivery of the workload of the Highways team within the Design Services Penrith office. The workload is expected to be a mix of maintenance, small scale improvements and some new build/major projects.

What do we need from you to be successful in this role?

A wide range of experience in each sector would be a benefit but is not essential. Professional qualifications with an appropriate institution would be a benefit in the role.
