A Senior Interior Designer job is now available in Manchester. The role will involve, designing, presenting, detailing, and supervising the delivery of interior design schemes. Experience working on commercial, retail, and/or F&B projects and good Revit skills are essential for this role. Salary of circa £45,000 + flexitime and hybrid working available for the right candidate.

This is an opportunity to join an AJ100 practice of architects and interior designers working on commercial, retail, and residential projects in the UK. The role will involve the management and supervising of junior designers whilst working on all project stages.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Working on and leading projects from start through to installation
  • Producing and/or supervising the preparation of presentation material, technical drawings, detail design packages including FF&E, documentation and reports
  • Liaising with architectural and external design teams as necessary
  • Attend site and client meetings
  • Mentoring more junior team members
  • Preparing project fees
  • Assisting with BD.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years' professional experience and ability to work on all project stages
  • Strong design flair and proven experience working on concept design
  • Experience producing and supervising the preparation of presentation material, technical packages, detailed drawings, FF&E schedules and reports
  • Good client facing and job running capabilities
  • Good understanding of construction processes and materials, products and finishes
  • Experience preparing project fees and an understanding of a project's financial position
  • Strong working knowledge of the UK planning process and building regulations
  • Experience in mentoring more junior team members
  • Ability to liaise with internal and external teams including architects, designers, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Revit skills with minimum 3 years' experience using it in practice
  • Proficiency with Sketchup, Enscape, Lumion and/or Twinmotion
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
