Senior Interior Designer Job in Manhattan, New York City

New opportunity for a Senior Interior Designer job with a commercial architecture and design firm based in New York. The ideal candidate will have a background in workplace or retail design and have been involved in projects from start to completion. The role is offering a salary of circa $100,000 + hybrid working + 401k & other benefits. Immediate start available!

Established in 2005, our client has grown and developed over the years, now completing circa 140 projects a year for a range of clients, both locally and internationally; typically ranging between 5,000 - 50,000 SF. This role will see you join their design team of 14, working alongside the Director of Design on a daily basis, you will be involved in all stages of design and have the opportunity to develop your career with a down-to-earth and progressive design firm in the heart of New York City.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead space planning and test-fits
  • Concept design and development
  • Specification of materials, finishes, lighting, and branding
  • FF&E specification, scheduling, and procurement; ensuring adherence to budgets
  • 2D technical designs and 3D renderings
  • Visit sites and oversee installations with guidance from the wider team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years' experience within workplace/corporate design, ideally with a large design firm
  • Degree qualified in interior design or similar
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, as well as SketchUp and the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, In-Design, & Illustrator)
  • Experience/understanding of FF&E specification and procurement.
