Due to continued growth, Select Logistics is looking for a Senior Logistics Manager to join our central team to lead, support & guide preconstruction teams on major bids and tenders.

This role is essential in assisting the tender and project teams in establishing sustainable logistics in the project delivery engine room, ensuring a seamless logistics strategy through to project mobilisation. Given the high amount of complex cross-functional teams both internal and external within major project tenders, the ideal candidate will have proven experience working on major projects and excel at building solid stakeholder engagement. This role will build on the experience gained through our Logistics community ensuring best practices are put in place and communicated to the central logistics team for sharing across the business.

This is a brand-new role supporting nationwide tenders so hybrid working practices and travel are available.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Experience in creating major project logistics strategy documents including Site/ Factory set-up mobilisation plans
  • Have good knowledge and experience in Construction Consolidation Centres (CCC)
  • Ideally with nuclear / Power experience
  • Understanding of critical transport set up on construction projects
  • Have a developing knowledge of strategic planning and project/programme management systems
  • Proven data analysis experience and experience in Construction activities and plant movements.
  • Member of Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT)
  • Have a working knowledge of the safety of loads of vehicles and H&S standards for pedestrian access routes
  • Competent IT skills - MS Applications and use of delivery management systems, access control and telematics
  • Having good interpersonal skills, being organised and proactive and being programme production driven
