About the role:

As Senior Manager for Global Demand and Order Management you will be a key member of the team who act as the first point of contact between the department and external customers, with a view to improving order delivering performance, reducing costs and driving continuous improvement to meet customer demands and supply chain requirements in line with defined business objectives.

The role will report directly into the Global Director of S&OP. Our department has an ethos of continuous improvement, refining systems and creating efficiencies. This, along with the rapid growth of the business, leads to a varied and dynamic working environment.

This is a hybrid role and international travel may be required on occasion.

Main responsibilities & duties:

  • Responsible for the management of Demand S&OP meetings cross functionally, and equally support S&OP Global Lead of the monthly and executive S&OP process
  • Forecasting/planning for global demand by product and market level and coordinate to ensure orders are fulfilled on time and in full (OTIF)
  • Drive the dialogue each month for assigned markets and products with global / regional commercial leads, affiliates / distributors, market demand planners (customer service executive allocated for each region), production, logistics, finance leads and other stakeholders to meet service level objectives with optimum inventory policy
  • Responsible for managing the SC customer service team / "Export business" of up to five members (one member allocated for each region globally) to ensure that the demands are firmed up while maintaining the firm horizons of rolling forecast
  • Ensure the forecast is communicated to the production team in an efficient way to make sure that production plan can be achieved 100% and orders are delivered to the customers as agreed
  • Eliminate short-term and last-minute monthly plan changes to reduce waste in the supply chain, introduce plan stability, and agree achievable delivery dates with customers
  • Take proactive measures by analysing the demand shifting pattern and other available data analysis to ensure the forecast is accurate reflection of the market demand, and provide early warning to the internal colleagues
  • Identify gaps between financial plans and demand plans and resolve where needed
  • Monitoring of targets for forecast accuracy, forecast error (actuals vs budget, actual vs rolling forecast etc.), measuring the different KPIs (OTIF, delivery processing time, invoicing processing time etc.)
  • Ensure integrity of metrics to drive value to customer
  • Enable process and system enhancements
  • Boost the development of key market revenue opportunities
  • Work closely with the other wings of Pharmanovia's supply chain (SC Acquisition team, SC Data team, Production team and Logistics team) to achieve the maximum output of own team
  • Responsible for customer contact in relation to order management and general commercial SC enquiries, and resolve those queries
  • Effective coaching and appropriate delegating to the team
  • Ensure full compliance with the EMA, MHRA Rules and Guidance Notes for Pharmaceutical products 'Orange Guide,' for supply chain and distribution functions
  • Provide projected write-off at the distribution consignment sites and work efficiently to keep this below the agreed threshold, and maintain the finished product inventory at the distribution sites at agreed level
  • Initiate and manage assigned SC projects including new process, report / KPI dashboard structure, ERP, and then reporting back to the Line Manager in a timely manner
  • Encourage a collaborative environment and support the smooth running of the global customer order management team

About you:

Candidates with proven management experience gained within supply chain S&OP, demand planning, and demand forecasting in the pharma environment are likely to have the skills required to be successful in this role. We are also looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Excel and PowerPoint at advanced level
  • SAP user
  • Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly numerate and analytical with great problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks, demands and deadlines
  • Strong networking and planning skills
  • Ability to work successfully within cross-functional teams as well as independently
  • Thrives in a commercial-driven, result-oriented environment
  • Valid passport
