Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor

Location: Project specific opportunity at Wellingborough - within 1 hours commute of London and within close proximity of connection route on M1 & A14.

Introduction:
Kier is looking for a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join a highly successful team in delivery of a large scale (£250m+) project at Wellingborough. As part of a forward thinking unit, this project will be delivered in a collaborative environment, adopting DfMA solutions & strong digital agenda.

This project is a key part of the Major Projects business portfolio that spans a variety of sectors including commercial, science, healthcare and custodial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial & financial review of MEP packages.
  • Production of enquiry and scope of works documentation
  • Input into technical and cost build-up of (Contractor Design Portion) CDP packages.
  • Identify risks and opportunities with individual packages.
  • Commercial compliance with employer's requirements assessments
  • Interfaces with construction, mechanical and specialist packages.
  • Review/Monitor against design & procurement programme
  • Collation of relevant information for market testing of packages
  • Communication with supply chain
  • Health and Safety inspections with effective communications (KIER SUSA)
  • Attend and contribute in team meetings
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence
  • CSCS card holder (Black)
  • Relevant Industry H&S qualifications as CSCS / SMSTS
  • Holds the relevant industry qualifications as:-
    • Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited degree course in building engineering and professional development training
  • Good communicator, verbally and written
  • Time management and planning and organisation skills
  • Ability to form effective relationships within and external to the team
  • IT Literate
