Senior Planner - Stansted Airport & London

Airport (Baggage Handling)

We currently have a requirement for a Senior Planner join an ambitious and fast-growing division of a progressive consultancy, with the initial assignment to work on a major baggage handling project at Stansted Airport.

Our client is a progressive consultancy with operations across the UK and EMEA region. They are responsible for supporting a number of organisations across multiple sectors and thus boast a varied project portfolio, including rail, civil engineering, construction, oil and gas and pharmaceuticals. A winner of various employee and people awards, our client continues to experience significant growth in the UK, particularly within their project controls and programme management division.

This latest requirement is for a Senior Planner for a client-facing role, where you will be embedded full-time within Stansted's on-site team for at least the next 12-18 months. From a reporting perspective, you will be based out of the London office but visits to the office will be rare whilst on this assignment. Supporting MAG (Manchester Airports Group) on a significant baggage handling scheme at the airport, the role will acting as an "in-house" member of the client's team where you will be interrogating and analysing the main contractor's monthly programme until it is acceptable, before then owning the schedule and using it to manage subsequent workload.

A new Director has recently been installed to grow and develop the Project Controls division and you can expect varied future career progression opportunities in the future, plus the likelihood of a man-management role in the medium-term.

For this role our client is seeking:

- MUST have previous planning/project controls experience in an airport environment - MAG will only sign off an individual with this relevant past experience.

- Ideally have worked on at least one baggage handling assignment previously, preferably more.

- Relevant engineering/construction degree.

- Good communication and stakeholder management skills (as this is a client-facing role).

- Eligible to work in the UK.

Our client is offering a basic salary of between £60-70,000 per annum plus a benefits package comprising travel, bonus and various other flexi benefits.
