We're looking for a Senior Planner to join our UK Power Network Alliance team, remotely based the projects will cover the Eastern and Southern Power network. Location: remotely based you'll also need to visit offices and sites in London, Bury St Edmunds, Stevenage, Colchester, Maidstone, and Crawley.
Contract: Permanent, Full Time - flexible and part-time hours may be available if desired, just let us know.



Responsibilities


As a Senior Planner, you'll be working within energy-based utilities helping plan the delivery of cable, and substation infrastructure projects ranging from £500k to £10m. All part of £2bn programme of works in the 2016-23 ED1 and 2023-28 ED2 regulatory period.



Your day to day will include:


  • Accountability for building, monitoring, analysing and reporting on P6 project plans, adding value and challenging where required
  • Ensuring that planning programmes are developed, monitored, and reported on through all stages of the project planning cycle
  • Where required liaising with Operational or Development Managers to assess programme requirements for tender production
  • Working closely with operational and estimating colleagues at the pre-commencement stage of a contract and ensure that a master programme is prepared
  • Responsible for ensuring progress and productivity is effectively monitored, reports are produced in a timely manner and attend progress meetings, both internal and external, to review and report on progress


What are we looking for?


This role of Senior Planner is great for you if:


  • Your educated to degree level / HNC or equivalent and proficient in the use of P6 planning software in a commercial environment
  • Experience within the Utilities/Power Sector
  • Commercially focused with good knowledge of finance and estimating
