The Position
Galliard Homes is a leading urban regeneration specialist that looks at residential, mixed-use, hotel and commercial projects across London and Southern England. With a focus primarily on London, we are looking for an experienced Senior Planning Manager to hit the ground running and manage a portfolio of development sites at various stages of the planning process. At Galliard Homes, our projects always use a quality bespoke design solution to respond to the sites particular environs, so no two schemes are the same, and projects vary from high-value housing through to large-scale mixed-use redevelopments.
You will be responsible for the following duties:
- Broad understanding of commercial sensitivities related to residential developments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the UK residential planning and development process.
- Ability to manage project teams comprising internal colleagues and external consultants, together with budget monitoring.
- Manage all aspects of a project from land acquisition through to project start.
The Person
Reporting to the Architectural Director, the successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record in land and planning, ideally gained with a House Builder, Residential Developer or Agency. They will be able to provide site feasibility, co-ordinate design team and project budgets, manage pre-application process, negotiate with Local Planning Authorities, and deliver against project programmes. In addition, we are ideally looking for someone who has contacts and experience primarily within London.
- The ideal candidate will have 5 years plus experience working with a residential developer or consultancy.
- Ample experience working with local and regional authorities.
- The successful Senior Planning Manager will have good leadership qualities, and show strong negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Must have good IT skills and have the ability to learn new systems, software's, and processes.
- We are looking for a personable individual who can work well in a team and independently.
- The successful candidate will be highly motivated and organised, with the ability to priorities workload.
- The ideal Senior Planning Manager will be MRTPI qualified.
