Our Client is looking for a Senior Project Manager who has hands-on knowledge of building and planning regulation and has previous experience in Fire Safety design/capital works. Candidate must understand asbestos legislation and have previous experience in managing contractors.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
Experience of investigating and resolving building related problems and defects such as unauthorised works and Party Wall matters within a social housing environment.
Experience in managing teams and high performing professional staff.
Commercial awareness and business acumen in delivering and managing a fee earning business unit within a public sector context.
Track record delivering a successful customer focused service
Knowledge of contract administration and demonstrable skills to undertake contract administration duties and manage financially complex contracts.
Significant experience and understanding of CDM regulations 2015
Knowledge of Local Authority Health and Safety in relation to maintenance of property assets.
Knowledge of statutory requirements relating to leaseholder consultation requirements.
Experience of managing and developing an effective team, in meeting organisational, business, and financial objectives.
Excellent communications skills both written and oral and the ability to write letters and complex, concise reports.
Ability to use a wide range of IT packages and repair database
Ability to manage time and resources effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet competing deadlines.
Able to work outside normal hours where necessary to deal with emergencies
Ability to attend meetings out of normal working hours
Qualifications:
Degree in Construction, Building Management or Asset Management
Chartered Member of a Building Related Profession such as RICS, RIBA, CIOB, ICE, INSTRUCTE or equivalent
Desirable:
Evidence of relevant Continued Professional Development.
Management qualification, ILM, or equivalent
Coaching & Performance Management
Prince2 practitioner, accredited project manager
