Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) are an internal MEP self-delivery business within the Kier group, supporting the internal regional businesses across the UK and the Strategic Projects business on complex and challenging projects that range from £5m to £125m. The business has a full design, construct and commissioning capability. The business has been operating for over 50 years with a track record for delivering on developing staff, repeat business and successful projects.

KME has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join its highly successful custodial delivery team. Key Responsibilities

You will manage the delivery of projects to high standards by budgeting and programming from the initial bid stage through to completion. You will also be responsible for managing the designated project to meet company objectives post-contract with an input into pre-contract requirements emphasising customer care and business excellence.

Ensuring project risks are identified and managed through effective mitigation measures will be key priority for you. In addition to managing the procurement / delivery of subcontract and supplier packages you will ensure the project quality management procedures are adopted and managed by the supply chain for full compliance.

As a Senior Project Manager is this self-delivery business you will be responsible for managing the MEP delivery team, including QA, design, procurement, commercial, installation, commissioning, sub-contractors and suppliers. With health and safety at the heart of everything we do at Kier, you will need be responsib;le for the implementation and compliance with Kier's SHE policy and procedures, all legal requirements and best practice within Kier Group's.


What do we need from you?

  • Previous project management experience in the Construction Industry within Custodial, Defence Health and Science sectors.
  • Minimum of HNC/HND in an engineering related discipline required or equivalent
  • Project Management qualification
  • Holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Commercial and contractual awareness
  • Ability to maintain relationships with clients, customers and suppliers
  • Team Leader with organisational skills
