Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Project specific opportunity at Wellingborough - within 1 hours commute of London and within close proximity of connection route on M1 & A14.

Kier is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a highly successful team in delivery of a large scale (£250m+) project at Wellingborough. As part of a forward thinking unit, this project will be delivered in a collaborative environment, adopting DfMA solutions & strong digital agenda.

This project is a key part of the Strategic Projects business portfolio that spans a variety of sectors including commercial, science, healthcare and custodial.

You will be:
  • Managing the commercial resources of the assigned project to maximise planned gross margin through the placementand control of contracts and subcontracts.
  • Assessing, reviewing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks and implementing Kier Group's policies for risk management.
  • Supporting the authorisation and submission of project variations. Authorising the placement of contracts, subcontracts,material and plant orders.
  • Maximising cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicingof customers and payment of suppliers.
  • Implementing all of Kier Group's policies including those for SHE and risk management.
  • Promoting Kier Group's values towards its customers in order to meet or exceed their expectations
What we need from you:
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Good knowledge of contract conditions and law within the Construction Industry
  • Ambitious with high aspirations
