Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Witham, Essex

Business Unit: Regional Buildings, Eastern

Contract: Permanent, fulltime

The Witham business unit undertakes works in a variety of sectors including education, leisure, health and commercial and small areas of the residential sector. Along with our Cambridge business and Northampton business form the Eastern region. The Witham business operates in Essex with 2 adjacent areas, Hertfordshire and Suffolk with a strong pipeline of work.

Key Responsibilities
The role of Senior Quantity Surveyor will consist of either overseeing commercial and financial responsibility for multiple projects in the region, reporting to an MQS or alternatively managing a larger value project. Assess, review and mitigate Commercial and Contractual risks and implement Kier Groups policies for risk management. Preparation and presentation of monthly Cost Reports. Value works executed by Sub-Contractors and certify interim and final payments

What do we need from you?
As a Senior we are looking for main contractor experience working on Education projects valued up to £30 million. Other sector experience would be an advantage along with experience of working on projects valued above £5 million. Experience and knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts is a must have.
