Senior Quantity Surveyor Job in Plymouth
Senior Quantity Surveyor job in Plymouth for a Top 10 Housebuilder. If you have experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a housebuilder then we want to hear from you. The role offers a salary of up to £65k + £4.5k Car Allowance + 12% Bonus + Agile Working, covering sites across South Devon and Cornwall (there is also opportunity for more Cornwall-based candidates to work from their satellite office in Cornwall).
They are a Top 10 housebuilder, delivering 13,500 homes annually across the UK, they are committed to the highest standards of design, construction and service. You will be joining their commercial team of 12 at their new Plymouth office, working for a steadily growing region with 7 live sites and increasing to 12 sites over the next coming years, this role will see you managing 3 sites at differing stages.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the financial management of sites for the region and report back to senior management
- Budget to final accounts across multiple liv sites at varying stages
- Subcontractor payments
- Site Valuations / variations
- Negotiation with sub-contractors
- Liaison with sales, customer care, site management and accounts teams
- Use of COINS
- Be aware and comply with HSE Policy
- Oversee work of QS's in the absence of the Commercial Manager where required
- Mentor and manage junior members of staff
- Offer input to the Commercial Manager in relation to key business decisions
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience working at Senior Quantity Surveyor level for a housebuilder
- Experienced in budget to final accounts
- Ability to mentor and oversee junior members of staff
- UK Driving Licence
