Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Flexible within Cornwall & Devon

Business Area: Kier Utilities- South West Water

Contract: Permanent- Full Time

We are Kier, one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure services and we are now recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Utilities team working for our client South West Water

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, your prime responsibilities will be to increase value, reduce cost and manage risk in a safe and ethical manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure cash flow is maximised, provide commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team, as well as be involved in physical measurements of works
  • Prepare monthly cost/ value reports together with review of results and consideration of trends
  • Manage subcontractors, collating prices, comparing with tender, negotiation, order placement and agreement of account & payment
What do we need from you?

  • Hold a Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • Hold experience of working with NEC suite of contracts along with sound commercial and business knowledge
  • A full driving licence as travel to surrounding sites/ offices will be required
